Through journalistic integrity, compelling storytelling, and the preservation of oral histories, the Production Studio serves as a haven for fostering understanding and empathy.
The Production Studio enables JV to educate our youth of color, capture the wisdom of our elders and generate professional quality media that can be used in our education programs and beyond.

Friendly Convos
"Conversations with your Friendly Neighborhood Black Guys" was born out of a profound recognition of the critical need for open dialogue within communities. Justice Vanguard observed a deficit in accessible conversations and a genuine willingness to learn, listen, and engage with diverse perspectives. The series stands as a testament to the belief that understanding starts with open, accessible conversations that welcome everyone to participate.
"MY Story" is a deliberate effort to preserve and share narratives, ensuring that voices from marginalized communities are not silenced or erased. Recognizing the increasing challenges to historical education and the alarming bans on crucial narratives in some states, the importance of documenting these stories has become more critical than ever. The documentaries serve as a testament to the resilience of individuals and communities, ensuring that their stories are not lost to censorship.

Our interns are given opportunities to work both on and off site in all aspects of production, events photo/video, and more. Many of our interns end up leading their own campaigns and projects with our support and direction.

Philosophy Talk, founded by Ken Taylor and John Perry, serves as a guiding light, emphasizing the importance of philosophical inquiry in understanding the complexities of our world.
